Guest sidalee1 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 With HIPAA, is it okay to let the HR people know how many weeks' vacation an employee sold to purchase benefits under a health plan? I can't imagine that it isn't as the HR staff need to know how many weeks a person has left to take, but wanted to double check...thanks,
oriecat Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Employment information is not PHI, and employers aren't covered entities. I don't see how HIPAA has anything to do with this.
