austin3515 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Anyone have recommendations on how to get ERPA CPE done on the cheap? Austin Powers, CPA, QPA, ERPA
Kevin C Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 You can get free credits from the IRS. The available credits are limited, but you can't beat the price. http://www.irs.gov/retirement/article/0,,id=218995,00.html
austin3515 Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 How do you find out about them? Austin Powers, CPA, QPA, ERPA
Kevin C Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 The link above has information on the next one. I usually check the IRS website every month or so to see what the upcoming topic is.
John Feldt ERPA CPC QPA Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I think SunGard webinars and conferences are ERPA approved and ASPPA's conferences and webcasts too. If you already attend some of those, there's a bunch of credits right there.
austin3515 Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 Theior webinars are like $200 just for an hour and a half of CPE... Austin Powers, CPA, QPA, ERPA
John Feldt ERPA CPC QPA Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 For SunGard, don't you get 50% discounts? (I think you're using their software, right?)
Bird Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 If you're maintaining your QPA with ASPPA that will cover most of the continuing ed for the ERPA, I think (I hope). Ed Snyder
austin3515 Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 Big difference is that if two or three of you listen to a web-cast, if all three are ERPA's you need to by it 3 times. Austin Powers, CPA, QPA, ERPA
