Guest JMN Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Is it possible to credit a dividend that is not used to repay an exempt loan to allocated shares only, and no portion to shares in suspense?
QDROphile Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Ask the ESOP fiduciary how it views being treated as a shareholder.
ESOP Guy Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 The plan document should tell you how to allocate those dividends that are attributable to the suspense shares.
RLL Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Cash dividends on ESOP loan suspense account shares must be allocated to participants' accounts (if not used for loan payments). The manner of allocating such dividends should be specified in the ESOP plan documents.
