So...are we the only firm disappointed with Relius and Web Client. Does the other providers have the 5500EZ ready yet?

Yes - Datair just put theirs out 2 days ago

Just got an email from Relius, 5500-EZ now available

We've used Relius 5500 software since it was Hyperprep and have always been satisfied.

We chose not to use the Web Client and instead just uploaded everything directly to IFile. That worked extremely well for us and I think it was one of the better decisions I've made.

We'll be sticking with the Relius software.

The place I worked last year used Web Client and had nothing but heartache from them -- even though we had used them for several years to get our clients accustomed to working with it before e-failing was required. Although I've changed jobs, I understand they are having problems again this year.

My new employer uses FT Williams, and it seems to be working fine.

ASC DGEM hasn't announced yet (surprised) but 2010 5500-EZs were functional as of yesterday.

Thanks to All - we have been experiencing nothing but frustration with relius from it's customer service to the actual program (web client). Not sure we want to deal with the major switch but it's coming. I was just trying to gage others opinions. And, because webclient was not working on JUNE 15, my clients forms are late.

we switched FT William last year. If you type in the plans EIN's number, all the 5500 data from the prior year is pulled from the DOL so there is not a lot of extra work required. it doesn't matter what software you were using previously. didn't think the learning curve was bad, so what I had thought would be a 'major' switch at the time turned out to be minor.

I totally agree with Tom. Made the switch at my day job. Very simple. Contemplating making the switch for my personal clients also.

DPSRICH

I hate trashing somoene else's business publicly, but Relius has really missed the boat on this efiling thing. They need to start from scratch in a totally web based environment. We switched to FT for the 2010 cycle and have had no problems at all. And they respond to customer service within hours, every time.

I should point out that as far as Documents and Administration goes, Relius products, in my opinion are the BEST in the market. The support for those products is outstanding and they rarely require any support at all.

Agree on not wanting to trash other companies' products, but our experience with Relius last couple of years between 1099-R and Government Forms prompted the switch. Switchover was fairly painless, and not having to install multiple service packs on individual computers several times a year was an added bonus. When coupled with the per client pricing of Web client, cost savings made it a no-brainer.
