EPCRSGuru Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I am having a difficult time deciding between Vanguard's Target Retirement 2030 fund and Life Strategy Moderate Growth fund. Any suggestions????? Pros and Cons??? Not knowing anything about you or your situation, it is completely inappropriate for anyone on this Message Board to offer you any sort of advice or suggestions whatever. Free advice is worth what you pay for it.
masteff Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 The target fund will change its asset allocation slowly over time as the target year approaches. The life strategy fund will hold a constant asset allocation. But beyond that, see what EPCRSGuru said above. This site is directed more toward the professionals who administer benefits plans and not to the actual investments. My suggestion is to call Vanguard and ask to speak to an investment specialist who can help look at your personal financial situation and help you choose between the two. Many of the larger firms have people like that to help you if you know to ask. Kurt Vonnegut: 'To be is to do'-Socrates 'To do is to be'-Jean-Paul Sartre 'Do be do be do'-Frank Sinatra
Guest allancoleman Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 northshore , A web site where you can ask any personal questions about Vanguard Funds investments is at : ( http://www.bogleheads.org/forum/index.php ) This web site was started years ago in honor of Sir John ( Jack ) Bogle the founder of Vanguard mutual funds . It is open to the public .
