12AX7 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Where I work we have an FSA Plan. I used to receive my reimbursement checks within a week or two. Lately, I have to practically beg to get reimbursed after two or more months. What is the maximum period of time between submission and and reimbursed allowed in the regulations? Thanks.

I'm not aware of a time limit, so maybe someone can let us know. But to be blunt, I would be concerned if I were you. Things like this tend to be hints of a company in trouble. You should definitely ask your HR or contact the administrator of the plan to see if you can get an explanation. William C. Presson, ERPA, QPA, QKA bill.presson@gmail.com C 205.994.4070
bcspace Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 In order to be considered "available" under the uniform coverage rule, reimbursements must be done at least monthly or when some reasonable minimum amount of claims have been accumulated (e.g., $50). Prop. Treas. Reg. § 1.125-5(d)(2).
