Guest Quacka Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 How does one go about terminating a UK pension? Where to start looking? Employer has closed the business unit and the plan contains only retirees and terminated vested participants.

Is there a consultant/advisor/solicitor (attorney)/agent or other UK based entity that has been baby-sitting this plan? We occassionally see a client with a UK or other "foreign" plan - but they always have a foreign advisor they work with - or we put them in touch with an "international" firm to assist.
Guest Quacka Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Well, it turns out this is actually a UK stock purchase plan, and another team is already conducting the due diligence. This was a "fake emergency" as so often happens in corporate America...(where is my plane ticket to Ecuador?)
