Guest juris301 Posted May 18, 1999 Posted May 18, 1999 Does anyone know the details of IBM's new cash balance plan. Also, does anyone know where I could get a copy of that plan?
Guest JPCMPLS Posted May 18, 1999 Posted May 18, 1999 Just a comment....I understand that cash balance design is not "new" for IBM and that it in fact has used a cash balance and later, a pension equity formula, in its defined benefit plan for a number of years. I hear that this latest amendment is going back to another cash balance design. With all of the stir about cash balance plans in Congress, I find it curious that this is being played up in the press as a "new conversion". Sorry, I don't have a copy of the plan or know where to get one.
david rigby Posted May 19, 1999 Posted May 19, 1999 I don't know where to get a summary either. However, if you look on the What's New page of BenefitsLink, you will find a link to some information, although it may be brief. I'm a retirement actuary.
