Guest FL GRRL Posted June 11, 1999 Posted June 11, 1999 If a person has 9 years in with a co. and they announce they are discontinuing a pension plan, does the person have any rights to any retirement at all?
Guest Keith N Posted June 11, 1999 Posted June 11, 1999 The short answer is probably. With 9 years of service you are most likely entitled to some benefit at some future date, but there are MANY variable. What kind of "pension" plan is it. Defined benefit or defined contribution? Does "discontinue" mean the plan has been frozen or are they actually terminating it? Any additional informatin would be appreciated
