Gary Posted July 29, 1999 Posted July 29, 1999 Aside from the RPA '94 rules. Say in the history of a plan the company amends from time to time the definition of actuarial equivalence. Is it necessarily true that the lump sum a participant could have gotten at the date of change grandfathered in some way. It doesn't appear to always be stated in plan documents.
