KCA Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Can a small profit sharing plan that otherwise meets the requirements for filing a Form 5500-SF but has a life insurance policies file a 5500-SF? Do the policies qualify as "eligible plan assets" or does that fact that there is insurance in the plan require a Schedule A, thus requiring a 5500?
ETA Consulting LLC Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 No, you may still file the SF. Seems odd that there would be no place to put the Schedule A information, but that's perfectly fine. Good Luck! CPC, QPA, QKA, TGPC, ERPA
pmacduff Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 just as a side note - there is a spot on the 5500-SF for any commissions that were paid, if applicable.
BG5150 Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 It's 10e. QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPATwo wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.
