Zorro1k Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 If a broker incorrectly placed trades and after correcting the mistakes and making the plan whole there are additional profits that resulted from the original mistake who is entitled to the profits? What support is there for that position?
Lou S. Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I don't think the Plan is allowed to be put in a better position than if the mistake was not made. In this particular case it sounds like the size of the correction was calculated in error causing an "over correction", presumably by the brokerage house, the excess of which should be returned to the brokerage house. But honestly I'm not 100% sure on that, it's just an educated guess. Zorro1k 1
Zorro1k Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 That was my initial thought but I can't locate support for my position.
