Guest Posted February 25, 2000 Posted February 25, 2000 If a partner loans money to an ESOP, is the loan interest paid by the ESOP reported on a 1099-R or a 1099-INT?
QDROphile Posted February 25, 2000 Posted February 25, 2000 Since a partnership can't have an ESOP, could you clarify your question?
Guest Posted February 28, 2000 Posted February 28, 2000 Sorry, I meant to say shareholder, not partner. It's a C corp.
RLL Posted February 28, 2000 Posted February 28, 2000 Form 1099R is used to report benfit distributions from retirement plans....so it is NOT to be used for payments of interest by an ESOP to a lender.
