Business Activity Code for TPA firm

I was curious as to what 6 digit IRS Business Activity Code non-producing TPA firms are using. I have seen both 541219 and 541990.

We use 541990.

Sure, use 541990. But recognize also that nobody cares and there is no penalty for using the wrong code.  Just wanted to point out that this is a trivial issue; we try to get it right but we don't effort over it.

What about 524290 - Other Insurance Related Activities (including third-party administration of insurance and pension funds)?

541990 is "All Other Professional, Scientific, & Technical Services.

541219 is "Other Accounting Services"
