Guest Melissa Winslow Posted October 2, 2000 Posted October 2, 2000 I understand that the plan sponsor can limit the amount an employee may elect under a medical FSA due to the financial risk the uniform coverage rule poses. However, are there any limits set forth under the Code I need to be aware of? Cites would be appreciated.
Lisa Hand Posted October 9, 2000 Posted October 9, 2000 Melissa: There is no Medical FSA limit set in the IRC or regulations. You might want to look into getting a good legal guide for cafeteria plans, such as the excellent one offered by the employee Benefits Institute of America. Answers to these types of questions would be detailed in one.
