Guest Melissa Anderson Posted November 9, 1999 Posted November 9, 1999 I am looking for anyone to share their telephone enrollment materials. I am also looking for examples of enrollment forms where the employee keys in the dependent names over the phone. We are just implementing telephone enrollment and I need some ideas on the communication/enrollment pieces.
Guest nb Posted November 9, 1999 Posted November 9, 1999 I'll jump on the bandwagon too. I'd also like to know what problems came up for anyone that has implemented telephone enrollment.
Sheila K Posted November 9, 1999 Posted November 9, 1999 I do not have any personal experience with telephone enrollment. My husband's prior employer (GTE) uses this system for it's open enrollments. You may want to contact the corporate office in Tampa Florida to discuss with a Benefits person there! ------------------ Good Luck!!! Sheila K 8^) Sheila K 8^)
Guest kclark Posted November 10, 1999 Posted November 10, 1999 We have been using an IVR system for annual enrollment only for 3 yrs. now and it works great! We do not currently enroll dependents via the IVR, that is still done with paper dependent forms. We currently use a consulting firm for this process. We have a full-flex plan and a PTO sell option which is also included on the IVR. I am in a health care environment which encompasses 3 hospitals and 2 major medical groups. Employees like this option to enroll as well. We provide a script to consulting firm with updated changes each year.
GBurns Posted November 10, 1999 Posted November 10, 1999 What does the consulting firm do? Or did you mean that you outsource to a telemarketing firm that provides inbound answering and processing services? George D. Guest kclark Posted November 10, 1999 Posted November 10, 1999 This is our benefits consulting firm that we use on an ongoing basis. They also provide IVR benefit enrollment services as part of their business. This, of course, is at an additional cost outside of our normal consulting services. They provide enrollment communications, materials and process confirmation statements. We only utilize this process for annual enrollment (unfortunately). The rest of the year is manual forms. We work together to review plan changes, communications and the script to be used each year for the IVR. Hope that helps!
Guest jlcowden Posted February 9, 2000 Posted February 9, 2000 Melissa, If it is not too late we will be pleased to share materials used for Telophone (IVR) as well as combination IVR/Internet enrollments. We currently recomend considering an approach which : * Programs plan parameters for IVR and Internet simultaneously * Utilizes one combined data base Advaantages of a combined approach incluse: * Easier for employees choosing to utilize the internet to change address, add dependents et. * Lower cost for phone access time * Appears more progressive Let me know if you would like info. including sample workboos and worksheets.
