Thanks for the credit John, though it means more to me that the spreadsheet is still getting used.

Way back when Benefits Link was in it's early years (I think it started in 1995) Dave Baker asked some of us users to post some pension related articles. For some reason I wrote something about how to calculate the limits each year. From that article I received 2 emails. the first pointed out that while the article was correct I failed to note the calculations were done to 3 decimal places. (Though at the time the govt only released CPI figures to 1 decimal place)

the second email included a spreadsheet that someone had created based on what I wrote and could I check it to see if it was correct.

It used to be go to the ASPA Conference at the end of October and find out what the new limits would be. As I recall they would wait until the last day to even indicate what the new limits were. I modified the spreadsheet a bit to suit my needs, but it fawned on me that I could know the limits before the Annual Conference. And then it hit me I could post on Benefits Link as early as July the most likely projected limits. And finally I decided what the heck, just post the spreadsheet and anyone can calculate the numbers. After that it was a bit rewarding to see projected limits posted by other folks and other than Benefits Link.

Now, age 69, out of the business for 6 or 7 years,  I only use the spreadsheet to know what my Soc Sec will be.

God less to all!
