I don't know how many Academy members frequent this board, but I would encourage all of you to seek out opinions related to the proposed changes before voting.  The CCA and ASPPA have both put out information related to the changes.  I am happy to post, if people haven't read anything about what is really going on.

Thanks for the reminder.

BTW, to date, I have NOT received my email with voting instructions.  I've contacted the AAA office and am waiting for feedback.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

A few on the ACOPPA board were expressing a similar issue.  One stated the problem could be with Barracuda, if you use that software.  He suggested logging on to the academy site directly and voting through their website.

I also did not receive the email with voting instructions.  I tried calling the Academy and they said they would look into it.  I still haven't heard back from them.  I then called 610-935-6174 and spoke with Daniel Saclute, who is with the vendor.  He got the email to me right away.

I did receive paper ballots in today's mail.

I received my AAA email (4 days late) and voted.  Also received the (optional) confirmation email after submitting my vote.

I read yesterday's announcement from the American Academy of Actuaries regarding the results of the voting on proposed bylaw changes, and it appears that the current leadership of the Academy is decisively petty.

Sadly, it appears the spirit in today's media and politics has infiltrated into actuarial circles.

Good to see you back Ishi!
