humblea Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 It looks like I'm going to have to re-characterize all of my 2020 maximum Roth IRA contributions to Traditional IRA due to exceeding income limits. As soon as I do that, is it possible for me to take advantage of the Traditional IRA to Roth IRA backdoor conversion for 2020, for the maximum amount?
humblea Posted December 30, 2020 Author Posted December 30, 2020 I don't have other traditional IRA(s).
Lou S. Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 Then I don't see why you couldn't convert the IRA to a ROTH without too much difficulty, though completing it all in 2020 may not be possible at this late date.
