Excerpt: "The Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 (EGTRRA), signed into law by President Bush on June 7, 2001, significantly alters the treatment of distributions from a Section 457(b) plan pursuant to a qualified domestic relations order (QDRO). The new changes take effect Jan. 1, 2002." (Thompson Publishing Group)

Another Question is Answered in the Who's the Employer Q&A Column
Corporation A is taxed as a "C" corporation. It's owned 50/50 by husband and wife. Now they want to start Corporation B as a management company, to be taxed as an "S" corporation. Are the two corporations a controlled group if Corporation B is also owned 50/50? What if Corporation B were owned 90/10? (BenefitsLink.com)

The 12/31/2001 deadline for calendar-year plans is fast approaching. You're invited to join the discussion. (BenefitsBoards.net)
