"In light of a class action lawsuit filed against the Washington Cares Fund and a pending citizens' initiative (I-1436) which would make it optional to participate in Washington's long-term care insurance, Governor Inslee announced ... that he and the State Legislature ... have identified some areas that need adjustments.... New York City Is Poised to Require Employers to Provide Paid COVID-19 Child Vaccination Leave

"On November 23, 2021, the New York City Council approved a measure, Int. 2448-A ('Bill'), that would provide additional paid sick leave for employees who are parents or legal guardians of a child under the age of 18 to accompany their child to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, or provide care for the child due to the vaccine's side effects. "Victims of this month's tornadoes in parts of Illinois and Tennessee will have until May 16, 2022, to file various individual and business tax returns and make tax payments ...
