DOJ Sues to Stop UnitedHealth Acquisition of Change Health
"Among other things, the Justice Department alleges allowing United to eliminate a significant independent and innovative competitor firm by acquiring Change will undermine competition in the commercial health insurance market, stifle innovation in the employer health insurance
markets and suppress competition in the market for a vital technology used by health insurers to process health insurance claims and reduce health care costs by giving United control of a critical data highway through which about half of all Americans' health insurance claims pass each year." suggests consumers could reallocate funds from health insurance to retirement saving without sacrificing consumption." MORE >>
