5500EZ filing

PIP, is this not discrimination? Janet was in fact the inspiration behind the addition of my handsome studio portrait. I haven't seen any name calling directed to her. -

I would second WDIK's comments and add that you will also need to speak many foreign languages, obtain a power of attorney, and be able to decode the government computer to get off their mailing list. I actually called a couple of years ago about the question of the need to file the Schedule B if no 5500 was required and I stumped the panel. The people at IRS I spoke to never considered that dilemna and told me I had found an apparent loophole. Try splainin this to them when they come lookin for future ones. PIP, does anybody actually do that, file a final return only? -
Birth dates to define allocation groups

I would not want to have such a plan and give the older person less than the younger person, which of course seldom happens, but it could. Then I'd think there is some exposure. -
Insurance & B/R/F issues

So perhaps the portability of one type versus another could be the catch. I would think the the cash value issue would only be an issue for a dc plan. Right? Thanks for the update. -
Zen question of the day: What order do they go if they are filed electronically?

Jay, would you mind summarizing what you learned? -
1. Just because yu have a comp exclusion doesn't mean that rate group testing is required. You can test it under 1.414(s). Might that be an option under the present document? 2. Volume submitter document or some other more flexible doc short of custom.

Huh. Huh. Well Lisa the dork with the confusing name obviously has poor taste in men. If you want to see true beauty, just right click on my handsome picture and click "Save as background". That way nobody will ever touch your computer when you aren't there. Guaranteed. It works, especially when the lights are off. They must be afraid to mess with pure beauty. -

lump sum and death

I for one do not understand how any plan document would allow payment of a retirement benefit to someone who the plan knows to be deceased. Seems to me you need to stop or correct the transaction. Period. -

Wouldn't you see if there is a beneficiary before you wrote out a check to the estate??!! Maybe I'm the beneficiary. Then again, maybe I'm the beneficiary of the estate even know he has a wife. I am quite handsome you know. -

What do they know about the proper application of FAS#87 to DB plans, anyways; they're just accountants. -
Integrated DB / Actuarial Eq.

penman, I just looked a series of corbel-based adoption agreements and the integrated standardized and non-standardized both require interest between 7.5 and 8.5%. The non-integrated ones do not. -

Hey Pata: How is the guy going to determine the fair market value if it is illiquid? Is he going to drive this contribution, i.e. a car? Will the contribution be hanging on a wall for enjoyment, i.e. a painting? Will he in any other way be creating a PT? Sounds like it.
