I'm looking for a good, 2-3 day, in-depth seminar on remedial amendment periods, determination letter cycles, etc. I don't want an overview. I want nitty gritty deep down and dirty, preferably with someone from the IRS there. Does anyone know of any?

I recommend if your ex has the money, go after the ex first. That would be much easier than going after the plan.

It appears you have some discretion as to how to complete and file the 5500. That role is the role of the administrator, as defined in ERISA. If you have discretion or authority over the administrator, then it would would appear you may have some type of a fiduciary status.
