  1. Why wouldn't you document your concerns and suggest they seek counsel's advice? I'm not a lawyer
  2. Best of luck to you!
  3. Is there not an issue with having a zero balance to charge for fees?
  4. The VCP case status phone number is 626-927-2011. You will need to leave a voice mail message with as much information as you have. The recording requests your name and phone, and control number. If you don't have the control number (because you never received an acknowledgement), provide the plan name, EIN, plan number and submission date. Since you don't have the control number, you can request that as part of your call-back, but I think they will provide it automatically when they call you back in a few days. There are other discussions on this site as to turnaround time for reviews. I believe folks were saying that some have waited a year or much longer. I am aware of ones we filed in December and January and they have not yet been assigned. In some cases we received acknowledgements and in some we didn't. In all cases when I call, I'm told to call back in 5-6 weeks for an update.
  5. Has anyone seen or does anyone have insight into why we haven't received an update from the IRS on hardship and loan relief to victims of Hurricane Florence, similar to other hurricanes such as Harvey and Matthew? From a quick google search, it appears that the announcement was provided within a few days of the disaster in the past. The only update I can find is with respect to tax relief, but not hardships and loans. https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/help-for-victims-of-hurricane-florence
