david rigby Posted September 27, 2001 Posted September 27, 2001 Excuse my ingnorance here, but why is an Illinois district court involved in this? Isn't this an issue for federal courts? http://www.thompson.com/libraries/retireme...s/mend0110.html I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
RCK Posted September 27, 2001 Posted September 27, 2001 Good question. I believe that the court in question is a Federal District court, located in Illinois.
MGB Posted September 27, 2001 Posted September 27, 2001 The following is the the case: Berger v. Xerox Corporation Retirement Income Guarantee Plan, (2001 WL 930142 (S.D. Ill.)). The "S.D. Ill." is the Federal district court for the Southern District of Illinois. From there it will move up to the Federal Court of Appeals (Illinios is in the 7th Circuit).
