Guest mls Posted September 14, 1999 Posted September 14, 1999 Has anyone out there had experience with HCFA requests? These are documents sent from HCFA to determine if an employee had coverage under your medical plan (they are reviewing coordination of Medicare benefits? We are a large corporation who has received these in the past couple of years. We have had several personnel changes and thus, there are lots of unfinished requests. We have determined the new ones that need to be addressed, but the old ones we are not sure about. Any advice on whether or not we can go with what we know?
Guest BENEFISH Posted September 15, 1999 Posted September 15, 1999 mls, we get these HCFA data match questionnaires all the time. While we would prefer to place them in the restrooms for recycling purposes, we get them answered and sent in. Most of the time, you can use the last one you did to complete the next one. I'm surprised that you have not gotten hate mail regarding any old ones you have not returned. When we are late sending one back, we get a letter saying "we'll huff and we'll puff and we'll blow your house down". I would answer all of them regardless of the date received and try to keep up with them as they come in. There is not that much to them.
