Guest HarveyC Posted May 21, 2002 Posted May 21, 2002 We have a client with operations in Mexico that is considering setting up a pension plan for its employees in Mexico who are Mexican citizens (as opposed to expats working in Mexico). What types of private pension plans and corresponding benefit structures are prevelant there? How much would it roughly cost and what would be the time frame to set up a new pension plan there? Any thoughts or sources of reference would be greatly appreciated.
Larry M Posted May 23, 2002 Posted May 23, 2002 I found the local (Los Angeles) Mexican Consulate very helpful. Try the one nearest to you.
maverick Posted May 23, 2002 Posted May 23, 2002 I was just going to start a new thread on Spanish language forms, but I'll tack something on this one instead. One of our clients is adding a location in Georgia that has a lot of Mexican employees. The workers are in the states on green cards and are eligible for the plan (only non-resident aliens excluded). Does anyone know of a firm that specializes in translating plan forms and documents into Spanish? Thanks. Maverick
