Guest lawdawg Posted June 12, 2002 Posted June 12, 2002 Does anyone know whether Missouri has passed EGTRRA conformity legislation? Do you know where I could find the bill or statute? I can't find anything for this state on conformity legislation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

MGB Posted June 12, 2002 Posted June 12, 2002 There are only two types of nonconforming states: 1) they have their own definitions of deductions (do not rely on federal law), or 2) they conform to federal law as of a specific date (e.g., 1/1/2001) that preceded EGTRRA (most of these states just needed to wait for their law-making bodies to convene to update the date). Missouri is neither of these and never needed conforming legislation. As with most states, their tax code automatically updates with any federal changes.
