Guest kstorch Posted June 17, 2002 Posted June 17, 2002 Is anyone aware of a prototype plan document that can support a multiple employer plan? From what I have heard, this looks like a job for a Volume Submitter or a Custom document.
Archimage Posted June 17, 2002 Posted June 17, 2002 I am not sure about a volume submitter doc but I don't believe you can put a multiple employer plan on a prototype. You would have to use a customized document.
Kirk Maldonado Posted June 17, 2002 Posted June 17, 2002 Archimage is right; you can't use a prototype document for a multiple employer plan. Kirk Maldonado
mbozek Posted June 18, 2002 Posted June 18, 2002 multiple employer plans are idiosyncratic-- each plan is different because of the employer relationships and the requirements of reg 1.413-2. I have a designed several custom plans for multiple employers. mjb
Archimage Posted June 18, 2002 Posted June 18, 2002 However, you can use your prototype for the multiple employer document but you would have to remove all of the prototype language and do a little more tweaking. If you have never done it before, I would recommend paying someone else to do it for you. Your prototype vendor will probably do this for you for a fee.
