Guest sherryc Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 A self-employed taxpayer with no employees has a SIMPLE plan. He has made one small contribution in 2002. However, it has been determined he can contribute much more to a single 401(k). Can he adopt the 401(k), making the SIMPLE plan unavailable, and request a distribution from the custodian of the 2002 SIMPLE plan contribution?
