Guest erisafried Posted December 2, 2002 Posted December 2, 2002 I am playing Sherlock Holmes at the moment, but I am coming up with nada. Hopefully, one of you with better memory than mine will know the answer to this one. I am helping a client with an EPCRS fix on a 401(k) plan. The problem goes way back and includes a TPA change in the middle. We have records from the current TPA but the old stuff is a bit spotty. I am hoping (I'm an optimist) that the old TPA still has enough info to fill in the blanks if only we can find them. The old TPA was U.S. Pension Services. I have a vague recollection that they got bought out by a larger vendor (PFPC, BISYS, somebdy) but I can't remember who. Can anyone help me out?
maverick Posted December 3, 2002 Posted December 3, 2002 I have not heard of U.S. Pension Services. You may be thinking of UPI (Universal Pensions, Inc.); I believe they were bought out by BISYS. Each year Business Insurance has an issue featuring a list of tpa firms. You may be able to go back a few years and find something. Good luck. Tom
Demosthenes Posted December 3, 2002 Posted December 3, 2002 U.S. Pension Services out of Tampa FL (formerly Dun & Bradstreet Pensions) was acquired by First Data Investor Services Group which was in turn acquired by PFPC Inc, a wholly owned sub of PNC Bank. The Tampa office was closed this year and the operation (hopefully including the records you are looking for) were moved to Bloomington MN. They were at 1700 West 82nd St Suite 125 Bloomington, MN 55431 952 703 1700 Good Luck!
