Guest gts Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Has anyone heard of any proposed regulation or future changes that would allow this plan to be treated as the Roth IRAs for tax purposes instead of the traditional deferral method.
Earl Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Effective after 2005, employers may allow employees to make "Roth" contributions to 401(k) or 403(B) plans. An employee would be taxed immediately on such contributions, but (as with Roth IRAs), both the contributions and earnings generally would not be subject to tax upon distribution from the plan. CBW
Guest gts Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Thanks, that is consistent with information I got from one other source but they were not very confident. Thanks again.
