Guest okz Posted April 1, 2003 Posted April 1, 2003 I'm looking for information regarding plans covering employees in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Does anyone know a good source to research this topic? I'm looking for testing, qualification, and administration rules. Thanks.
four01kman Posted April 1, 2003 Posted April 1, 2003 One place might be the IRS. The other is the governmental authority in Puerto Rico. Years ago, I was involved with Puerto Rico Plans and dealt with officials there, but I don't remember the name of the governing authority. Jim Geld
Tom Poje Posted April 2, 2003 Posted April 2, 2003 There is a brief description (abour 9 pages) on Puerto Rican plans in the Coverage and Nondiscrimination Answer Book. (That book is in theseries of books like the 401k Answer Book, the Pension Answer Book) The Treasury in Puerto Rico is called Hacienda. they have a website in Spanish www.hacienda.prstar.net
E as in ERISA Posted April 2, 2003 Posted April 2, 2003 RIA has a set of tax books that includes a little info on plans.
