Guest susa Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 A plan that was amended as of 1/1/02 to exclude employees who are considered a "Help out" status that only work a few hours per year. These employees are usually former participants in the plan who have terminated/retired but come back to help out. The plan is top heavy so an allocation has always been made in the past to these employees who were former participants now working a few hours a year. Can they be excluded from the top heavy allocation as of 1/1/02 or do they need to be included?
Blinky the 3-eyed Fish Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 They are no longer active participants in the plan, so they do not need to receive a TH allocation. Although, be sure to watch the coverage testing. "What's in the big salad?" "Big lettuce, big carrots, tomatoes like volleyballs."
