Guest Michael Anderson Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 I have a 401(k) Plan that has been updated and is running on a prototype document. They are going to remove one of the trustees and add a new one. Do we have to ammend the entire adoption agreement or simply change the trustee pages with new signatures? Do we have to give all participants new SPD's or just the pages pertaining to the trustee info - or nothing at all?? Is there anything else that needs to be done with the documents for the Plan? Thanks for your help!
mbozek Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Why not adopt a board resolution recognizing the change in tuestees and then prepare a resignation of one trustee in writing and the appointment of the sucessor trustee along with his/her signatuare accepting appointment? The trustee change can be circulated as an smm. mjb
