Guest Monster Posted February 29, 2000 Posted February 29, 2000 There seems to be a lot of energy about proposed changes to treatment of 457 assets, most specifically, I am hearing there is a bill which would make distributions from a 457 plan eligible for rollover to IRA. Can anyone give me more information about this? Even just the bill or it's sponsor would be a start. Thanks.
Carol V. Calhoun Posted March 3, 2000 Posted March 3, 2000 It was in the tax bill Congress passed and Clinton vetoed last year. It's now in both the House and Senate versions of the minimum wage bill. Maybe once the election is over, Congress and the President will be able to come up with compromises, instead of just passing bills sure to be vetoed, and/or vetoing bills if they are passed? By the way, how does everyone like this new format? I'm not sure I like it being known that this is my 356th post on this board!
