Guest JBeck Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Two employers that are related by ownership but are not part of a controlled group participate in the same safe harbor 401(k) plan. What are the issues unique to being a multiple employer plan? 1. ADP and coverge testing are separate. 2. An attachment to form 5500 must be made indicating that the plan is a multiple employer plan. 3. what else?????

Kirk Maldonado Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 One ugly aspect of multiple employer plans is that some of the qualification requirements are applied on an employer by employer basis, while others are applied on the basis of all of the employers in the plan (as if they were part of a controlled group).
