Guest mk2308 Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Client has a Safe Harbor Plan using the 3% nonelective. Compensation is defined as W-2 compensation plus deferrals. One HCE has auto included and the other has key man insurance included. Does the compensation for the SH allocation include the auto and insurance? Does the compensation ratio test need to performed?
Archimage Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 No compensation ratio test is needed since your 414 definition of comp is a safe harbor definition. Both reimbursements for auto and payments of excess insurance premiums are both included as W-2 income.
Guest mk2308 Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 That's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure. Thank you.
