Guest RJF Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Plan allows for distributions when a participant hits Normal Retirement Age (65). Does this require spouses consent for the distribution?
david rigby Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Is the plan subject to J&S requirements? What type of distribution? What does the plan say? I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
Guest RJF Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Not subject to J & S. Wants a distribution even though still working Plan Doc says you can take a distribution while working at Normal Retirement. Spousel Consent?
JanetM Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 No, because it isn't subject to J&S rules. JanetM CPA, MBA
