Alan Simpson Posted October 14, 1998 Posted October 14, 1998 While I don't have final figures the Sept 21, 1998 issue of Pension & Benefits Week has a prediction of these amounts.
Guest Laura Posted October 15, 1998 Posted October 15, 1998 To my knowledge, no one has final figures yet; the Social Security Administration announces the percentage increase at the end of the year. However, estimates based on what we know about inflation to date predict: - The §401(k) elective deferral limit will remain at $10,000 - The defined benefit §415 maximum annuity will remain at $130,000 - The defined contribution §415 maximum annual addition will remain at $30,000 - The §401(a)(17) annual compensation limit will remain at $160,000 - The §414(q)(1)(B) compensation breakpoint for determining highly compensated employees will remain at $80,000.
