Employee Notice for Safe Harbor 401(k)?

Does anyone have a draft of a notice they can share with our readers?

Does the notice have to be any more detailed than a SPD?

It's different than an SPD, so there's really no comparison.

It focuses on one fact only - that the Sponsor is taking safe harbor status for the year (and that the participants will receive the safe harbor level of contributions).

Someone posted a sample on PIX if you have access to that. I have a hard copy and am not excited about retyping it but could mail a copy if you'd like to see it.

I have had a number of requests for the sample notice and can't possibly keep up with them. I originally thought that someone would retype and post a reasonable facsimile of that sample on this board but I was in error. I apologize to everyone whose request I haven't responded to.

I've seen one other sample in addition to the one posted on PIX. FDP has developed one. In their plan document information packet they say a sample safe harbor 401(k) notice can be requested by e-mail at penfdp@fdpcorp.com. I don't know if they'll only provide it to FDP users or not but it would be worth a try!
