If I max out on the 401(K) is it still possible to put the allowable amount to a ROTH IRA?

Yes, you can still make a contribution to a Roth IRA. The Roth IRA is not considered a qualified pension plan under the IRS Code, so the contribution limits applicable to 401(k)plans do not apply to the Roth IRA.

Your only Roth "problem" is marital status and compensation limits.
