Guest reesbe Posted June 29, 1999 Posted June 29, 1999 In general, what is the definition of "self-directed" investment? Specific question: A 401(k) plan permits participants to invest in any of 50 different mutual funds. Can the plan consider these investments "self-directed" and eliminate the 3.28(k) disclosure? Would the answer change if the plan allowed investments in 100 different funds? 150? 200? ------------------ [This message has been edited by reesbe (edited 06-29-99).]
