billfgrady Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Can funds from a SIMPLE 401(k) be rolled over into a SIMPLE IRA?
GMK Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Try the pdf link here: http://benefitslink.com/boards/index.php?s...c=43681&hl= hope it helps.
billfgrady Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 Thanks, I checked the attached rollover chart this morning before I posted, but SIMPLE 401(k) is not included. Is a SIMPLE 401(k) a qualified plan, a SIMPLE IRA or something else for rollover purposes?
GMK Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 My understanding is that a simple 401k is a qualified plan. http://www.simple401k.com/simple_401k.html
Gary Lesser Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 No. A simple 401(k) can not be rolled over to a SIMPLE-IRA. No rollover to a SIMPLE IRA is permitted from a qualified plan of any type.
