Match Requirements

My document specifies "Allocated method plus

supplemental discretionary match" for Match

formula. My Doc Provider says this means Sponsor MUST do deferral Match (supp. Match is optional) every year. If this is correct, can Sponsor stop Match only by ammendment, or never? I don't want to lock Sponsors in. Any thoughts on this? Thank you.

What is the allocated match formula? If a new plan why not use 0% and only do a supplemental every year?

That's the problem. The Employer wants to do a Match (50% on 4%)from day 1 AND reserve the right to do a Supplemental. Does stopping

the "regular" Match require an ammendment?
