waid10 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 We are about to move all of our employees into a new entity. We need to change the plan sponsor of our 401(k) plan to this new entity. How do we do that? Do we just amend the plan? Do we need to do anything else?
Kevin C Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 The plan document should have a provision dealing with adoption of the plan by a successor entity. It will tell you what needs to be done. You will also need to report the change on the Form 5500.
