JRG Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I wanted to ask what would be a ballpark estimate of the time it takes to draft and prepare a streamlined EPCRS submission (generally speaking to predict an attoney's fees). I know there are a few that take much longer due to getting information from an employer of investment manager...., but what is a range for most of them? Also, what is the longest one it took you to prepare? Thanks.
Bill Presson Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 It generally takes us 2-3 hours. William C. Presson, ERPA, QPA, QKA bill.presson@gmail.com C 205.994.4070
Guest Eric A Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 It really depends on the Appendix F Schedule that needs to be filed. Filing a Schedule 1 for an interim nonamender failure takes about an hour or two. But, if you need to file a Schedule 2 for a plan that hasn't been updated since ERISA, then you're looking at a much larger chunk of time.
Guest 409 eh? Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Keep in mind the extra time for preparing the determination letter application, which is often necessary if you have a nonamender issue.
