Dinosaur Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Does anyone know where I can find the unrounded compensation limit, DB dollar limit, etc. for 2010 and 2011? I know that someone posted a link a couple of years ago but I cannot find it.
Tom Poje Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 what they should do is make everyone calculate the numbers on their own. The sum on the CPI-U values for 2011 is 654.762. enclosed is the 'how to' sheet provided by the IRS by following the example given you should be able to calculate them on your own for 2011. (The sheet is for 2009.) for deferral and catch up the 'base period' value is 654.765 instead of 533.3
Tom Poje Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 unrounded limits according to Hewitt, which match the numbers I get off of my spreadsheet, which I assume would match the values if you calculated through the formula.
david rigby Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 The Enrolled Actuaries Report (published quarterly) includes a 2-page chart of the primary limits, some with unrounded amounts. http://www.actuary.org/ear/index.asp Each year, look in the Winter edition. I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
