austin3515 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 We need to do a 1099. We used FT for our fulfillment so we have no red forms. 1) Anyone know where to get a handful of red forms? 2) Would the IRS really reject if I sent in a laser printer version of this thing?? Austin Powers, CPA, QPA, ERPA

We've done elctronic ones for so long now I'm not 100% sure but... 1) Local IRS office? they used to carry them anyway. 2) Not sure. In the past they took software generated forms. Did they change thier policy recently, say the last few years?
12AX7 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Austin, if you're referring to Copy A, then you can order as many as you like from the IRS (must call on the phone to place the order). I rip the Copy A from the formset and print using Relius software. Not sure if this will allign properly with FT software, but this is how I do it, without using a typewriter. You also need to file the red Form 1096 transmittal.
